Day 80: Herkner Road Farm
Beautiful bluebird day on the Rebounds and leathers on untouched corn snow on the north face of a farm field. Couldn't be better -- maybe the best day of the season. Probably made 12 runs up and down the hill.
Day 79: Crystal Mountain
Friday, March 28th -- First Day of the Grand Traverse Corn Harvest!!...and the return to the big tele gear for me. Hooray!! Lots of bluebird runs, many in the sun. No charging of the black diamonds, but many satisfying tele-turns.

Day 78: Crystal Mountain
Tuesday, March 25th: Unskiable fresh wet mank -- one run on teles & four on the PEs before a quick exit.

Day 76 - Crystal Mountain 3.21:
A nice Thursday afternoon at an uncrowded Crystal -- also the first day I've been able to ski where everything felt close to normal with the gimpy knee. New (yet previously enjoyed) Lange boots made their debut.
Days 74-75
Day 75, 3.16 -- The Homestead -- a beautiful, beautiful bluebird day to cap the season at The Homestead.
Day 74, 3.15 -- Mt. Holiday -- Insanely icy day to pay the annual visit to Holiday - to ski, not drink. Nice to see the career lifties and the obnoxius teens unchanged.

Days 71-73
Day 71: Crystal Mountain -- some nice easy runs on the blues with the PEs hangin' with Breena
Day 72: Boyne Mountain -- working with Craig as he starts up the learning curve on his tele gear. I took a couple tele runs, but couldn't get my boots to sit right and never got comfortable with the gimpy knee, bad light and cream cheese on top of boilerplate snow. Rest of the runs on the PEs were pretty decent.
Day 73: State Hospital Thicket -- Three nice runs in the springtime corn on the Rebounds. Hopefully this won't be the last time out on this set-up, which has become a favorite.

The Beginning of the Spring Season
With the end of the "60 in 60" passed, I'm looking to finish out the season by posting 80 days for a grand total to the year's work. My knee injury, most likely some damage to the medial ligament and meniscus, has required some down time since the end of February. After close to ten days off, I've been making some careful turns.
Before the "60 in 60", I was able to log 6 days so now I'll resume the count through the rest of the season beginning at Day 67:
Day 67: State Hospital Thicket 3/5 Rebounds
Day 68: Hickory Hills, 3/7 Line Shadows
Day 69: The Homestead, 3/8 K2 Public Enemies
Day 70: Hickory Hills, 3/9 Fischer Sceneos
